08/06/2005: "Colt and Star, Redux?"

If you are an insanely astute reader (or a big Colt fan) you might know about the Model D sold briefly as the Colt Pony.

Well, it turns out something continued between Colt and Star later on. The always astute reader Diego Bardelli sent me a link to this Colt Model 30PK for sale. I can make out "Hartford" on the stamped parts, so he doesn't seem to be lying. Very, very odd indeed.

Hopefully, I'll get some more info soon about it. I am not gonna be able to afford the gun (I just gather the info, I don't collect the guns anymore), so if any of you are excited about it, by all means snap it up.
